Wind Projects in Oklahoma from 2007 to 2024

Right now, we are in the middle of graduation season. One of the best parts of working in downtown Oklahoma City is seeing all the college and high school seniors taking pictures in front of the downtown buildings. Seeing this makes me think about my own college graduation, which was in 2007. A lot has changed during these 17 years—both personal and professional—but even more has changed for the renewable energy industry.  The number of wind projects in the state has exploded.

The United States Wind Turbine Database (USWTDB) provides the locations of wind turbines in the United States and is a great resource. Below is a short video showing the growth of wind projects in Oklahoma from my graduation date to now.
